The Special School Complex as an independent institution has existed since 1994. The building in which the school is currently located is a historic building, built before the First World War. It was owned by the family of Mr Herbert Czai. After the war it was taken over by the treasury and adopted for the Skoczów Vocational School. In 1988, after the newly-built Vocational School in “Bajerki” had been put into use, the building, by the decision of the then superintendent’s authorities, was qualified for a major refurbishment to be used as a special school. We are a school for children and young people with special educational and upbringing needs due to intellectual disabilities, autism and aphasia. We exist for the pupil, his or her family and immediate environment as well as for the local community. We strive to ensure that a child with a disability is able to find a place in society and feels needed and safe in it.
